Competition rules

Version 1.0 · These are the rules the registration consent refers to. Questions: arc@dairaedtech.in

Eligibility

  • Open to students and early founders resident in India. Every member competes as an individual with their own account: one person, one account.
  • A person may compete in only one team per event. Being invited doesn't count as being on a team; accepting does.
  • All information provided must be your own and accurate. Entering someone else's details, or competing under someone else's identity, is grounds for disqualification.

Teams & fees

  • Entry is paid per person. Every participant pays their own entry fee to take part in the competition stages; a teammate's payment does not cover anyone else.
  • Forming or joining a team is free. A team can have up to four members, and a participant may compete in a team of one.
  • An entry fee cannot be refunded once a competition stage has been entered.
  • Teams that bought a team plan before individual entry began keep the plan they bought, and its members are entered.
  • Team leadership can be transferred with the consent of both people. The leader manages membership and finalisation on the team's behalf.

Submissions

  • Each stage closes at its published deadline. Drafts autosave, but only a finalised submission is judged: an unfinalised draft at the deadline is not entered.
  • Finalising locks the submission and stamps who finalised it, when, and from where. What is judged is exactly what was locked.
  • Work must be the team's own. AI tools may be used as tools; presenting generated work as analysis you did not do, plagiarism, or fabricated evidence are grounds for disqualification.

Conduct

  • Recruitment through the platform must stay respectful. Invitations and join requests can be declined without reason, and declining has no effect on scoring.
  • Harassment of other entrants, jury members or organisers, on or off the platform, is grounds for removal without refund.
  • Attempting to access another team's submissions, manipulate scoring, or probe the platform's security ends the team's participation.

Judging & decisions

  • Every submission in a stage is scored against the same published rubric, through a mandatory sustainability lens.
  • Shortlists and results are published per stage. Jury deliberations are confidential and individual scores are not disclosed.
  • The organisers' decisions on eligibility, scoring disputes and disqualification are final.
